Spring Koi (Print/Original)

This stunning design would be a real centre piece in any room. It was inspired by the changing of the seasons and the vibrancy of spring.

Koi fish are often used to represent a variety of themes but I wanted to draw on and explore their association with change. Combined with cherry blossoms, which represent the coming of spring, as well as the beauty and briefness of life, the whole piece speaks of change in a positive and captivating manner.

The original painting was made with Japanese sumi ink and fluid acrylics on watercolour paper and is presented in a beautiful antique oak frame. The piece is also framed with high-quality acrylic glass that filters out 99% of UV light, protecting it from light damage and further preserving its colours.

The framed piece measures 109x35cm

The prints are high quality giclee prints that capture the same vibrancy and dynamic as the original. The prints come mounted in a soft white mount and measures 64 x 30cm in total.
