My seasonal rabbit paintings explore the narrative associations and themes relating to each of the seasons.
The winter rabbit is paired with vibrant red camelia flowers. These flowers grow slowly and steadily throughout winter, waiting patiently for their moment to burst into life in a glorious flash of colour. This painting is a representation of the steady patience of winter and its rewards.
The painting was created with Japanese sumi ink and fluid acrylics on watercolour paper and has a beautiful texture, depth and movement. It is framed in a vintage dark wooden frame and measures 54 x 40cm.
